Soon off to the Brown Bears in Finland
I will later this month go to Finland for the first time. There I will photo the Brown Bear in the wild. That is at least the plan. I certainly will see the largest predator here in Scandinavia but I also hope to see Wolves, Wolverine, Golden Eagle, White-tailed Eagle and the elusive Black Grouse.
So tomorrow I will attend a meeting in Stockholm to go over the plan for the trip together with the other photographers. I hope it will be a productive meeting so I get a clearer picture of what to expect of the trip. I will arrive on Wednesday the 25.th in the middle of the night and go back home on Sunday the 29.th. To my knowledge this means 3 night in hide trying to stay awake so I don´t miss anything.
I know that I have a couple of things I´ll have to sort out my selves before going.
1. I need a new plate that fits my Gimbal head so I can switch between the 70-200mm and 300mm lens effortless.
2. I need a backup camera. I have had thoughts to buy a Nikon D800 but it isn´t on the market yet. Maybe I can borrow a camera from a friend?
Hopefully I´ll sort these things out next week but I suppose there will be something more that needs to be taken care of before I leave for Finland and the Bear adventure.
Stay tuned folks more info will follow…
