I’m competing in the Metro Photo Challenge 2012

I’m in competing mode nowadays and therefore I have created an account for the Metro Photo Challenge. This is a competition that runs for a long time and I will probably send in a couple of more pictures but now I have at least sent in the first one.

The first one is from the vacation in Öland with Maria.

We had many lovely sunsets there but this one was one of the more spectacular. I had packed light for this trip and therefore I just had small pocket camera and the Nikon D800 with the big tele lens and this photo is taken with the Nikon. My thought was to single out this tree in the picture but also to get the light playing over the grass in to the left of the tree. I also had to use negative exposure compensation to not blow out the highlights too much.

What makes this a special a special photo for me is the light. It is something with orange, I really like an orange sky and the hue in this picture is one for me.

Now I am not completely sure how the voting is done in the Metro Photo Challenge but it’s seem like one have to be logged onto Facebook to be able to vote.
