Hungary at last
I would sum up the travel to Hungary in just one word, disaster.
I booked the flight with Wizz Air because they flew straight to Budapest. The other option would have been to travel with Lufthansa and that would have meant at least two more hours of travelling time. When I think of that I must say that two hours would have been good for me because I felt really stressed when I couldn´t bring my camera bag with me onto the airplane and that I had to pay an extra fee of €70. So this cheap ticket will now cost me more and they have for an extra bonus smashed my hard case. They wanted to send me into Budapest were they had two different shops who could confirm that my broken hard case was irreparable. It’s nice to see how common sense can´t be used or are they just plain stupid???
They good part is that I now is here in Túrkeve in Hungary and that me and Zoltan have been out for an afternoon. The weather is really hot and the temperatures are around 30 and will stay this until Monday if the forecast is correct.
The first trip with Zoltan brought some good pictures. It was intresting to see a small breeding colony of Grey Herons and both the Great Egret and Little Egret. The White Stork was also nice to get some photos of and we have seen Black Storks twice. A Black Stork would be something nice to frame.
Tomorrow morning is dedicated to the Bee-eaters. We will use a portable hide for this and my hopes are good. I have 2 pictures in my head at the moment and if I could nail one of them tomorrow then great. To get a photo of a branch full of Bee-eaters would a bonus but I suspect the weather should be colder if they are to huddle like that. So I cross my fingers for good light and Bee-eaters at its best tomorrow morning.
