Spring is in the air
Yesterday was a really wonderful day here in Gothenburg. We had almost 20 degrees and I took the opportunity to head out with my bike, and the camera bag, along Säveån.
The spring has come very far since I left for Finland last Wednesday. I really didn´t expect to see all the leaves on the trees. It was really a big contrast to the white landscape that I had in Finland.
I like spring. It means life is coming back to Sweden and that is great. The temperature is climbing above 10 and often reaches 20 so you can both enjoy the sun but still be active without having to pause to wipe the sweat from ones forehead all the time.
So once I put air in the tires I took off at a slow pace along Säveån. It is a nice area to be able to bike, or hike, thru even if there is industries on one side of the waterway that is Säveån. That is another positive when spring comes because foliage make it hard to see the industries.
I had some really nice hours in a relaxed tempo. I saw many of the landing piers being occupied by sun lovers or fishermen and their rods. I also spotted some birdlife that hopefully will mean I get the opportunities to photo some young ones soon.
My aim is to capture some funny pictures of young Merganser. The one I saw last year was fun to watch and I think one can get nice pictures of them moving more or less on top of the water. They were so fast so I didn´t get the sharpness that I´d like but this time I will be prepared.
I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed them.
